Who we work with

Cross-border shipper

Your goods already move between the US and Mexico, but the Mexican side is subcontracted to a broker you don't manage directly. We take that leg over.

First-time importer

No Mexican entity yet. We act as importer of record so your first shipment doesn't wait on a registration process.

Nearshoring company

Moving production or sourcing to Mexico and need to import equipment or inputs under an IMMEX program.

Company under a SAT review

Already facing a verification visit, or want a preventive diagnosis before one arrives. Needs a broker experienced in audits and corrections, not just day-to-day clearance work.

How we work at 2DL

4

stages per operation

Assessment
Quote
Execution
Follow-Up
The 4 stages of the process
1

Assessment

We review what you import or export, through which customs point, under what Incoterm, and under what regime. We confirm the correct tariff fraction and whether any prior permits need to be handled before arrival.

2

Quote

We issue an itemized quote covering freight, clearance, and total landed cost. No surprises at customs: what we quote is what you pay.

3

Execution

An account executive coordinates freight, the customs broker, and the carrier. You don't manage three separate vendors: we coordinate everything and keep you informed at every point in the chain, from the moment the vessel sails to the moment cargo enters your warehouse.

4

Follow-Up and Close-Out

We confirm delivery with supporting documentation: released pedimento, bill of lading, and delivery confirmation. If there's an inspection or hold, we notify you right away and coordinate the resolution.

2DL operations: three offices, one team

Direct coverage in Mexico's main industrial corridors and Gulf access through the Port of Altamira. No local team required on your end: we operate 100% remotely and coordinate every step from origin to final delivery.

FAQ: working with 2DL

Do I need a Mexican entity to work with you?

No. If you already have one, we clear customs and coordinate freight under your registration. If you don't, our importer of record service lets you import under ours while you decide whether to register your own.

Can you handle just one part of the operation, not everything?

Yes. Some clients only need customs clearance because they already have freight sorted, and others only need the freight coordinated because they have their own broker. Each service can be contracted on its own or bundled together, and there's no requirement to sign up for the full package to get started.

Do you work with companies outside Mexico that have never shipped here before?

That's a common starting point. We walk you through what's needed before your first shipment moves, so nothing gets held up at the border for a document or permit you didn't know you needed, and we flag anything specific to your product category ahead of time.

How fast can I get a quote?

Customs clearance quotes: 2-4 hours. Freight quotes: 4-8 hours for standard lanes, up to 24 hours for oversized cargo or less common routes. Complex quotes involving multiple services usually land somewhere in between, depending on how much information you can share upfront.
